This is a summary of IMC's current Professional Development Program.

Management Consulting Foundations – an introductory program for new and aspiring Management Consultants.
The purpose of the Management Consulting Foundations Program is to provide professionals in Australia or New Zealand who are interested in working as a Management Consultant with the following insights:
- How to decide whether to establish your own management consulting practice or join an established business
- How to rapidly establish a management consulting business in Australia
- How to market and sell your services
- Target your likely market and understand what they are looking for and how to sell to them
- Consulting the IMC Way
- How to stand out from the crowd

ISO20700: 2017 Self Declaration Checklist Training Course – has been developed to improve transparency and understanding between management consultancy service providers and their clients, ultimately leading to better outcomes from consultancy work.
ISO 20700 was developed by management consultants for management consultants with CMC-Global (ICMCI) as the self-regulatory body of the management consulting profession, taking the lead in initiating the production of the Standard.
CMC-Global has now developed a Self-Declaration Checklist to the Standard to provide practical and hands on support for management consultants in demonstrating their work according to the ISO 20700 and has accredited IMC Australia to deliver this training to all management consultants practising within Australia.

IMC Mentoring Program
The IMC Mentoring Program is offered to Members only.
IMC Australia is pleased to offer a Mentoring program for:
- Those new to consulting
- Those wishing to accelerate their journey to CMC
- Those wishing to undertake personal and professional development in a bespoke and individualised framework
- All participants in the Management Consulting Foundations Program will have access to an IMC mentor of their choice for a free 30-minute mentoring session

Participation in IMC Special Interest Groups (SIGs) is offered to Members only.

Management Consultancy Toolbox
The course aim is to provide an introduction to the management consulting profession, the consulting lifecycle, and the management principles and practices required for successful consulting engagements. Participants will also learn how to effectively prepare and manage client proposals and engagements.
Participants in this program will develop practical consultancy skills and gain valuable insights into the key characteristics of successful consultants. Participants will develop their skills in areas including team management, client and stakeholder relations, market and trend analysis, effective communication, problem solving, and the development and implementation of innovative business solutions.

The Diploma of Consultancy is an accredited qualification designed for individuals looking to enhance their management consulting abilities and effectively run a consultancy practice. This program is ideal for employee consultants and professionals involved in consulting projects who wish to improve their skills and gain recognition for their consultancy work.
This program offers the following benefits:
- Achieve a nationally recognised qualification upon successful completion
- Micro-credentialed subjects, allowing participants to exit the program at various stages
