Management Consultancy Toolbox

The course aims to introduce the management consulting profession, covering the consulting lifecycle and essential management principles and practices for successful engagements. Participants will learn to prepare and manage client proposals and engagements effectively.

Through this program, participants will develop practical consultancy skills and gain valuable insights into the traits of successful consultants. They will enhance their abilities in team management, client and stakeholder relations, market and trend analysis, effective communication, problem-solving, and the development and implementation of innovative business solutions.

Nick has over 30 years of strategic consulting, project and portfolio management experience having spent 9 years as the Founding Program Director and Associate Professor of the Master of Project Management Program at Torrens University Australia. Nick’s previous senior leadership and strategic roles including Portfolio Management, Bid Management, Digital Transformation, Agile implementations, ICT Management, Business Management senior stakeholder management, SMO and consulting roles for various organisations such as IBM, Telstra, 3Pillars Asia Pacific, Business SA, the state government, NCVER, Torrens University Australia and currently with BAE Systems as an Enterprise Agile Delivery Lead.

Nick is a Certified IMC Management Consultant (CMC), Certified Scrum Master, a PMI Program and Project Management Professional (PgMP, PMP), AgilePM, Scrum Certified, CAL-E, CAL-T, PMI Hybrid Agile and SAFe Agilist, SAFe RTE, SAFe LPM and in 2021 became the first IASP Strategic Management Professional (SMP) in Australia. He has a passion for learning, coaching, teaching, collaboration and helping others. He has completed a BSc, MBA, MPM, and a PhD in Project Management with a number of global publications.

Module 4 – Managing a consultancy practice, Identify and evaluate marketing opportunities

Module 5 - Building and maintaining business relationships, managing programs and multiple clients, practice management considerations.
