AFFILIATE
For people interested in consulting who aren't currently practising, or who don't yet meet the criteria for a professional grade. Stay up to date on what's happening in the profession and network with consultants.
ASSOCIATE GRADUATE
For graduates in the first two years of a consulting or advisory career. You'll get the same benefits as professional members, including member resources, development programs and networking events.
Eligibility: a university degree and less than two years' consulting or advisory experience.
ASSOCIATE
For practising consultants, internal or external, who are building their experience. Academics may also join at this grade.
Eligibility: a tertiary qualification and less than three years' consulting experience.
FULL MEMBER
For experienced practising consultants, internal or external.
Eligibility: a tertiary qualification and at least three years of consulting experience, or at least eight years of consulting experience without a tertiary qualification.
Full Members can apply for CMC certification.
Certified Management Consultant (CMC)
The CMC is the international standard of competence for management consultants. It shows clients and employers that your skills and ethics have been independently assessed.
IMC Australia is the only body that awards the CMC in Australia, under accreditation from the International Council of Management Consulting Institutes (ICMCI). The CMC is open to Full Members.
Emeritus
For members who have retired or stopped practising as consultants and want to stay connected to the Institute and the profession.
Membership Levels and Fees
IMC Australia have a number of membership levels to suit various levels of Management Consulting experience.
All levels of membership are required to be bound by the rules of the Institute and Code of Conduct.
