AFFILIATE
Affiliate non-professional membership is only available to those who do not qualify for professional membership (not tertiary qualified), and/or those with an interest in the consulting profession but who are not currently practising as consultants, who may wish to be kept abreast of industry developments and wish to network with consultants.
ASSOCIATE GRADUATE
Associate Graduate membership is a professional-level membership offered to recent university graduates during the first two years of their consulting or advisory career.
Associate Graduate members receive all the benefits of a professional member to help you build a successful management consulting and advisory career. It includes access to member resources, development programs and networking opportunities.
ASSOCIATE
Associate professional membership is open to tertiary qualified, practising consultants (Internal or External), with less than 3 years' consulting experience.
Academics and those who provide internal consulting services qualify as Associate Members until they can demonstrate at least 3 years' consulting experience to be graded as Full Members.
Applicants may be qualified in any base profession, including business, management, engineering, science, finance, accounting, law, medicine, health, education, etc.
FULL MEMBER
Full professional membership is open to tertiary qualified, practising consultants (Internal or External), with at least 3 years' consulting experience.
Alternatively, applicants who are not tertiary qualified but possess at least 8 years' consulting experience may qualify for Full Membership.
Applicants may be qualified in any base profession, including business, management, engineering, science, finance, accounting, law, medicine, health, education, etc.
Full Members are eligible to apply for Certification (CMC).
CMC
Certified Management Consultant (CMC) is a competency-based management consultant certification scheme open to full members of IMC.
It is an internationally recognized certification recognized in 58 countries and is conferred by Management Consulting Institutes that are members of ICMCI CMC-Global, the International Council of Management Consulting Institutes. IMC Australia is a founding member of ICMCI CMC-Global and has sole responsibility of awarding CMC status in Australia.

Emeritus
Emeritus is a Professional grade of membership and is a wonderful way to stay connected to the Institute and the profession once a member has ceased to either practice as a management consultant or has retired.
Membership Levels and Fees - From 1st July 2023
IMC Australia have a number of membership levels to suit various levels of Management Consulting experience.
All levels of membership are required to be bound by the rules of the Institute and Code of Conduct.
