Managing Client Relationships

During any consulting assignment, either the scope and/or expectations of the assignment can often change. In this session Steve will discuss factors that influence a healthy, open, and transparent consultant/client relationship and how effective management of these factors can strengthen relationships.
In this session you will learn about:
- How to effectively scope an assignment and negotiate roles up front
- Effective risk mapping and management
- Sources of organisational politics and how it impacts decision making
- How to re-negotiate scope and manage changing expectations

Steve is a highly experienced management consultant with a passion for aligning and developing people, roles, and processes to improve business outcomes. He draws on over 30 years management and consulting experience applying high level systems thinking, change facilitation, and negotiation and relationship building skills to his work. Steve has successfully undertaken major organisational reviews including the realignment of functions and capability in a range of large and small organisations across government, not-for-profit, and higher education sectors. He has significant experience in business and workforce planning, HR Strategy, and in developing performance management and governance processes and practices. Steve is also a highly respected leadership coach.
