CMC Core Competency Framework

A Certified Management Consultant (CMC) is defined as a management consultant who demonstrates three major competency components:

  • Values and behaviour;
  • Technical skills; and
  • Business acumen.

Each component, with its associated sub-component, is a high-level element and the required standard of performance for each element is shown in the following table.
