The 2022 IMC Australia National Conference will bring together professionals, business improvement leaders and technical specialists from many industries, sectors and disciplines to share their expertise and insights necessary to Keeping Ahead of the Curve. Richard Everson, Growth Facilitator at Business Australia 

An experienced business coach and management consultant, Richard has held roles with regional development agencies, business and producer networks. Drawing on these diverse experiences and extensive, ongoing professional development, Richard is well qualified to provide advice across a range of domains including strategy. business planning, operational excellence, design thinking and innovation, finance, marketing and sales, supply chain, and product development. Richard is also a Board Director of Regional Development Australia.

Dr James Galloway, CEO, Joint Accreditation Scheme ANZ 

James is the CEO, JAS-ANZ and holds a PhD from University of Adelaide, Masters in Government and Commercial Law from ANU, and Graduate Certificate in Risk Management from Swinburne University of Technology.  


Tim Slattery, Senior Director Enterprise Protective Security, Providence Pty Ltd 

As Senior Director Consulting at Providence Consulting Group, Tim is now placed to harness more than 35 years of national security experience to deliver protective security and professional services outcomes for government, defence industry, private sector and academia. Drawing on the experiences and education from his employment across Army, Defence, the Australian Intelligence Community, Foreign Affairs, Attorney-General's Department and Australian Federal Police, Tim is uniquely placed to identify the real challenges faced by clients and to oversee creation of solutions that clients can easily embrace and use. 

Kerri Hartland, Principal Advisor, Proximity 

Kerri Hartland - Kerri joined Proximity after a 30 year career in the Australian Public Service that culminated with her appointment as the Secretary of the Department of Employment and Workplace Relations in 2017.  Prior to this appointment, Kerri worked in senior executive roles in ten Commonwealth government departments and agencies.  Kerri was the first female Deputy Director General appointed to the Australian Security Intelligence Organisation (ASIO) – a role she held from 2011 to 2017.  In this position, and throughout her career, Kerri has been a strong advocate for diversity.  She assisted intelligence organisations both in Australia and internationally on change management, productivity and leadership strategies. 

After leaving the Australian Public Service, Kerri worked with the Business Council of Australia in establishing its bushfire recovery agency, BizRebuild, under the stewardship of Sir Peter Cosgrove.  

The common thread in Kerri’s career has been leading large transformation initiatives of people and systems, and championing diversity. Kerri has been appointed as the expert, independent Chair of the Jenkins Review TaskForce in 2022. Kerri’s role as Chair is to ensure all recommendations from a landmark review at Parliament House are implemented and to lead the TaskForce, made up of government, Labor and crossbench MPs. 

Peter Bell, Expert Advisor, Proximity 

Peter Bell - Peter is a Certified Management Consultant with more than twenty-five years experience providing services to public sector organisations including for Commonwealth, State and Local Government in Australia and in New Zealand. He has worked on major transformation programs leading to improved government services on a local, national and global basis. 

Peter is an experienced consultant, facilitator and negotiator and has extensive experience in complex procurement, contract negotiations and mediations, contract management and service delivery management. He has also worked with a number of organisations in service delivery reform, strategic and operational planning, process modelling and analysis, business process improvement, business continuity and disaster recovery planning and governance. 

Hamid Heydarion, Chief Operating Officer - National Capital Authority

Hamid Heydarian is the Chief Operating Officer at National Capital Authority, responsible for overseeing over $1 billion portfolio of assets on behalf of the Australian Government. Prior to this he held senior executive roles with Defence Housing Australia, and Services Australia.
During his 18-year career in public sector, he has worked closely with various industries (airline, construction, banking and finance, healthcare, media and communications), and reformed the traditional approach to public administration—including through public private partnerships, outsourcing and privatisation.
Prior to public sector, Hamid held various management consulting roles.
Hamid has a bachelor’s degree in Industrial Design (University of Canberra), as well as a bachelor’s degree in Commerce (the Australian National University). He is also a Fellow member of The Financial Services Institute of Australasia.


Cait Tynan, Principal Advisor, National Lead, Organisational Planning Transformation and Governance, Proximity

Cait is a seasoned executive with 25 years’ experience in strategic communication and stakeholder engagement.  Cait has extensive experience in leading customer-focused business strategies for Australian and international organisations across a range of industries.  These include health, infrastructure, telecommunications, emergency services, rail, aviation, construction, financial services, Information Technology, education and retail.

Most recently, Cait was a Director at the NSW Department of Customer Service, and at the NSW Telco Authority, where she was responsible for:
Customers and stakeholder strategy
Ministerial and department engagement
Pricing and product development.
In this role, Cait was also the customer lead for the $800 million + Critical Communications Enhancement Project.

Cait was also Head of Communications at the Sydney Airport Corporation where she was responsible for regulatory-related communications and strategic communications.

Dr Simon Eassom, Chief Futurist and Director at Australian Council of Professions 

Dr Simon Eassom is a business leader, public speaker, thought leader and senior executive with extensive experience managing P&L for multi-million dollar lines of business. He has been a visionary leader in the adoption of AI, predictive analytics, blockchain, and the Internet-of-Things and has been instrumental in the creation of digital solutions at the leading edge of the transformation of education, learning, health, and the future of work. His experience as a consultant has crossed industry boundaries, leading on the development of new business opportunities, and converting transformative vision into strategy and execution. 
As a polymath and visionary strategist, Simon is able to analyse and translate complex issues into clear points-of-view and realisable solutions. He is also a highly commended public speaker with a current range of topics that include: the ethics of AI; the need for new models of leadership; re-building trust in an untrusting world; the hype and reality of AI; and the impact of technology on the future of work and learning. 

Jennie Vickers, Global Security Influencer of the Year 2021, Consultant to Fortinet 

Jennie was named IFSEC Global “Global Influencer of the Year 2021-2022 as announced in November 2021 and in July 2021, held the #1 Spot on the list for Security: Association Figures/Academics/Thought Leaders, in the IFSEC Global influencers in security and fire 2021 Annual Campaign.  

The Supreme Global Influencer of the Year Award was decided out of the winners of the five security categories. A final round of judging was undertaken by an independent group of judges. 
Now an independent Consultant to Fortinet in New Zealand, Jennie was attracted by Fortinet’s culture, the great New Zealand team and Fortinet's world class fabric of solutions, all of which are focused on “making possible a digital world you can always trust”, with a mission to “secure people, devices, and data everywhere.” Jennie strives to be a trusted source of information in the security space and while she is now described as a LinkedIn Star, Jennie is still a bit proud to have had one of the top 1% most viewed LinkedIn profiles in the World (as measured when they hit 200m members, a few years ago).

Jennie added a qual in CCMP in 2020 and was made a Fellow in 2020. She has started the World CC CCM Expert Programme and has now added study of Security topics, which are endlessly interesting. Chipping away slowly (very slowly) at a Diploma in Art Appreciation from The Art Institute, Jennie has also added Digital Transformation to her busy schedule.
