Professional Development coming in September...
September is Industry Partner CPD month!
We have two separate fantastic professional development events in conjunction with our two industry partners, Deltek and Marsh.
Our joint professional development event with Deltek, ‘Consulting Leadership – Taking Finance to the Future’ was held on Thursday 2 September when IMC member, Vince Naselli MIMC, joined Ryan Latchford, CFO, ADG Engineering to discuss the impact of digital transformation on finance and balancing innovation with operational effectiveness. If you missed this great session, a recording will soon be available to IMC members via the On Demand page on the website.
Our second joint session is scheduled for the end of September in conjunction with Marsh, our Gold Partner, who has been providing excellent PI and other business insurance packages for IMC members for over 10 years. Stay tuned as we finalise the details for this session – information will be coming to your Inbox very soon.

Time is running out to renew your membership subscription and retain your membership of the Institute. Our grace period does extend to 30 September but membership automatically lapses as of 1 October and access to all member benefits, CMC certification and post nominals cease

We are delighted to announce that Board Member, Michael McLean MIMC CMC, Managing Director of McLean Management Consultants Pty Ltd, has recently been awarded the designation of Academic Fellow by ICMCI. This is a well-deserved honour! For those who know Michael, he has made an exceptional contribution to academic research and tuition in the area of management consulting.
Congratulations Michael, and he joins our other Academic Fellow member, Dr Alan Blackman.
We are delighted to announce that Dr Alan Blackman MIMC CMC Emeritus A-F has been appointed as IMC’s ICMCI Delegate and has also been nominated by IMC to the Board of ICMCI. Alan has had a long involvement with IMC and with the management consulting profession, particularly furthering training in management consulting as Associate Professor and Director, Work Integrated Learning, Griffith Business School. As an Emeritus Member, he is now currently undertaking a complete re-write of the ‘Management Consulting: An Introduction to the Methodologies, Tools and Techniques of the Profession - Australian and New Zealand Edition' - and is our academic columnist for The Australian Consultant.
IMC will soon be participating in our Triennial Assessment with ICMCI to confirm the rigour of our CMC certification process for ongoing membership of ICMCI. This is a rigorous and important activity and we are confident that we will pass with flying colours! Our new ‘light touch’ CMC re-certification process for those who were awarded their certification more than three years ago will be included in this assessment prior to its release to the membership.
