WORKFORCE 2010 – CHANGE, CHALLENGE & CHOICE

The workforce of 2010 is nothing like it used to be. With flexibility the key, contractors, casuals and temporary workers now sit comfortably in almost every business but what does this mean for business risk and planning?

Join Charles Cameron, a professional workforce management consultant, to hear about how workplaces have changed, how the players are different and the how legal challenges are plenty for the unsophisticated business.

This engaging session will provide attendees with practical yet critical workforce management information, including:
- How Fair Work impacts upon workforces and how they should be managed
- Whether a business truly outsources its risk when engaging contractors and temporary workers
- The fundamentals to creating an effective working relationship with an external employment service provider

Our Speaker

Charles Cameron is a professional workforce management consultant with extensive experience in workplace compliance and workforce planning. Having participated in the Business Advisory Group established by Julia Gillard to source employer input on the make-up of the Fair Work Act, Australia’s new workplace law. Also engaged by the peak industry body for the employment services sector to educate employers across Australia on the laws and trends facing modern employers, Charles is very well qualified to provide a meaningful briefing on how Australia’s multi-faceted workforces create challenges and opportunities for the attentive business advisor.
